Simple Direct Cremation
A Simple, Dignified Direct Cremation Service
For £ 1,475 plus disbursements
Our simple unattended no fuss Direct Cremation Service covers the collection of the deceased from a local hospital or residence into our care and transportation on the day of the funeral directly to a local crematorium. Our prices are based on using a local crematorium and include a simple coffin and our service charges, the scattering of the ashes at the crematorium, or return to you in a simple container, personal advice and guidance throughout where required. The crematorium fees for cremation and any additional fees charged by them are added to our fees and classed as disbursements.
Attended/Witnessed – Direct Cremation
For £ 1,675 plus disbursements
This offers a respectful and straightforward farewell allowing family and friends to be present and witness at the crematorium where allowed (the crematorium may have restrictions on the number of mourners who can attend for this type of service). Alternatively, a small group of mourners , up to 15, may attend our chapel of rest premises for a private ceremony on a day prior to an unattended direct cremation.
Unlike traditional funerals, this option focuses on the essentials, providing a dignified ceremony without elaborate arrangements whilst also providing loved ones with the opportunity of saying a proper goodbye.
Please note it does not include a formal service at the crematorium.
Personal Choices
When arranging a Direct Cremation, it is usual not to attend, however, sometimes a small group of people may wish to witness the committal. Please be aware that all our local crematoria have different options available regarding time restrictions, whether people can attend and media facilities.
It is also important to note, that in order to maintain a low cost option for this type of service, it is usual for the cremation to take place at our preferred crematorium, at a time slot sometimes before 9.00am on a date of our choosing.
